Bio: Adrien Abecassis, a graduate from Sciences-Po Paris, is a diplomat with a career in politics. From 2012 to 2017, he served on the staff of the president of the French Republic, first as a diplomatic advisor in charge of European affairs, then as a senior political advisor. In the latter, he supervised and analyzed a number of quantitative and qualitative studies, with a focus on the fault lines and divides in the society and the rise of populism. Adrien’s work this year will focus on the impact of these evolutions on the European Union. He is a member of the Jean-Jaures Foundation, belongs to several networks of political advisors and strategists, and was a lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Sciences (Sciences-Po) from 2007 to 2012.
