Research interests: Economic geography; international economics; sustainability; inequality and inclusion; demography; migration; new technologies; and populism and democracy. 

Bio: Alwyn Spencer works in London, UK, as Head of Office to a Cabinet Office Minister responsible for EU-related policy as well as issues related to the Covid-19 response. His previous experience includes work on international economic and financial issues at HM Treasury in London, UK, and at the UK Delegation to the OECD in Paris, France. Before joining the UK government he worked at the World Trade Organization and the European Commission. He holds an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, and is a Policy Fellow at the Centre for Science and Policy, University of Cambridge.
