Doğukan Taylan Erdoğan is a career diplomat with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye whose work focuses on foreign policy analysis, planning, and coordination. Most recently, he has served as First Secretary in the Directorate General for Foreign Policy Planning and Coordination, where he works on strategic policy analysis and briefing materials for senior leadership. His previous assignments include diplomatic postings in Washington, DC, and Kigali, Rwanda, as well as service as a Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellow at the U.S. Department of State.

**Research Interests:** National security; decision making under crisis; alliance coordination; crisis management; foreign policy planning; interagency coordination; policy implementation; diplomatic statecraft; and transatlantic security.
