Research interests: Transatlantic relations; US foreign policy; modern Middle East and North Africa; Israeli-Palestinian relations; and Jewish studies.
Bio: Michał Cholewa, a graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, is a career diplomat in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He currently serves as Head of Section at the Department of Foreign Policy Strategy, where he manages and conducts policy-oriented research on transatlantic relations and the Middle East. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2018, Michał was a political officer in the Polish Embassy in Tel Aviv responsible for various bilateral files. While at Harvard’s Weatherhead Center, he will look at the growing Sino-American rivalry and the consequences it bears on the transatlantic community.
