The Weatherhead Scholars Program accepts approximately twenty-five affiliates annually through a competitive selection process.

The Weatherhead Scholars Program (WSP) accepts applications from Harvard College students for positions as paid research assistants to the Scholars and Fellows. Harvard master's degree students are also eligible on a case-by-case basis.
