Ifrah Wali is Pakistan’s first female South Asian gold medalist in skiing and serves as vice president of the Gilgit Baltistan Winter Sports Association. She promotes sustainable tourism and youth engagement in winter sports.
Research Interests: Winter sports and development; gender and sports inclusion; South Asian mountain communities; women empowerment; sport diplomacy; sports tourism and economic mobility; youth and education; Global South perspectives; environmental vulnerability and sport; identity in conservative societies; and community-based sports initiatives.
