Ilva Tare is a journalist, media executive, and policy analyst whose work focuses on democracy, governance, corruption, media, and transatlantic relations, with particular expertise in the politics of the Western Balkans. She is a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, where she leads initiatives on the region and hosts #BalkansDebrief, a policy podcast featuring senior policymakers, journalists, and experts. She was previously Managing Director and Head of News at Euronews Albania and spent more than two decades as a leading political journalist and television host in Albania.
Research Interests: US sanctions impact on the western Balkan countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.
