Mateusz Stąsiek
Mateusz Stąsiek is a career diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland with more than two decades of experience in international relations, transatlantic cooperation, multilateral diplomacy, and consular affairs. Most recently, he has served as Minister-Counsellor in the Department of the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he coordinates Polish–Canadian relations and provides strategic analysis on political, economic, and security issues. His previous appointments include service as Consul General in London, Deputy Consul General in New York, Director of the Department for Cooperation with the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad, and a Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellow at the U.S. Department of State.
Research Interests: US–Canada relations; transatlantic economic and security relations; politics and international relations of central and eastern Europe; and democracy promotion and human rights.
