Matthew Calabria is an international security scholar and national security practitioner whose work focuses on cybersecurity, intelligence, emerging technologies, US foreign policy, and grand strategy. Dr. Calabria previously served as Director for Cyber Operations and Incident Response in the Office of the National Cyber Director at the White House, where he advised senior leaders on cyber-incident response and national cybersecurity policy, in addition to various other analytical roles in the federal government. He is also a part-time professor in the Security Policy Studies Program at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. He received a Doctor of International Affairs from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in 2023. 

Research Interests: International security; grand strategy; intelligence; nuclear statecraft; cybersecurity; cyberwar; emerging technologies; Middle East; and Europe.
